Parker is an AI legal agent built for law firms. We know the material you hand us — client matters, records, demands, discovery — is among the most sensitive data your firm holds. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who this covers
This policy applies to hireparker.ai, the Parker application at app.hireparker.ai, and any related services (together, the "Services"). It covers two kinds of information:
- Account & usage data — information about the people at your firm who use Parker and how they use it. Parker is the controller of this data.
- Customer content — the matter files, documents, records, and communications your firm submits to Parker so it can do work for you. Your firm is the controller of this content; Parker processes it on your behalf under your instructions and your customer agreement.
2. What we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — name, work email, firm name, role, and billing information.
- Customer content — documents, case records, demand and discovery materials, notes, and anything else you upload or connect for Parker to act on.
- Communications — messages you send to support, sales, or through the product.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data — features used, actions taken, and timestamps, so we can operate and improve the product.
- Device & log data — IP address, browser type, and diagnostic logs.
- Cookies — required cookies to keep you signed in and secure the session, plus limited analytics. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser.
Information from integrations
When you connect a tool such as Clio, Google Workspace, or Slack, Parker accesses only the data those integrations authorize, and only to perform the tasks you ask of it. We never access more than the scope you grant.
3. How we use data
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, and secure the Services;
- Perform the tasks your firm directs Parker to carry out;
- Authenticate users, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms;
- Provide support and respond to your requests;
- Understand aggregate usage and improve product performance;
- Send service and administrative messages, and — where permitted — relevant product updates.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your customer content for advertising.
4. AI models & your content
Parker uses large language models to do legal work. How we handle your content with those models matters, so we keep it simple:
- We do not train our own models on your customer content. Your matter files are used to complete your tasks, not to build a general model.
- We use enterprise AI providers under agreements that prohibit training on your data. Content sent to model providers for inference is not retained by them to train their models.
- You stay in control. Outputs are drafts and work product for your review — a licensed attorney remains responsible for all professional decisions.
5. Sharing & subprocessors
We share data only as needed to run the Services:
- Sub-processors — vetted vendors for cloud hosting, AI inference, and infrastructure, bound by contract to protect your data. See our current sub-processors list.
- Your firm — administrators at your firm may access account and usage data for users on their account.
- Legal & safety — when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
6. Retention & deletion
We retain customer content for as long as your account is active or as your customer agreement requires. When you delete content, or when your account is closed, we delete or de-identify the associated content within a commercially reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time — see Your rights.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because much of the data Parker handles is customer content controlled by your firm, we will direct firm-controlled requests to your firm and support them in responding. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].
8. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and continuous monitoring. For the full picture, see our Security page.
9. International transfers
Parker is operated from the United States, and your data may be processed there. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and the law evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
